Adekunle Gold confirms birth of baby boy, dismisses twin rumours

Nigerian singer, Adekunle Gold, has dismissed reports circulating online that he and his wife, Simi, welcomed twins, clarifying that the couple recently had a baby boy.
The singer made the clarification during an interview with Greatday Houston, where he spoke about family life and being married to a fellow musician.
According to him, being married to another songwriter has been a rewarding experience, as they often exchange creative ideas at home while balancing their careers and family life.
“First of all, it is interesting to be married to another fantastic songwriter. You know we bounce off ideas in the home and our daughter is giving signs that she might be one for the music as well,” he said.
Addressing rumours about the birth of twins, Adekunle Gold dismissed the reports, saying the speculation was fuelled by misinformation online.
“…not even twins, that is the internet by the way. We have a son,” he clarified.
The clarification comes months after the couple announced the birth of their second child in April without disclosing the baby’s gender or name.
Adekunle Gold and Simi got married in a private ceremony in January 2019 and welcomed their first child, Adejare, in 2020.
