Former Senate Leader and Oyo State Coordinator of the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council, Senator Teslim Folarin, has called on aggrieved party members to set aside their differences and unite to secure victory in the 2027 general elections.
Speaking at a meeting with the Oyo State APC Executive Committee in Ibadan, Folarin emphasised that mutual respect, internal discipline, and putting collective interests above personal ambitions are essential for building a formidable political structure across all 33 local government areas.
To demonstrate this unified front, the former lawmaker reaffirmed his full commitment to President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid and pledged to work closely with state executives to ensure the triumph of all party candidates.
In a boost to these reconciliation efforts, Folarin and the party leadership welcomed deflecting local councillors who served between 2021 and 2024 under the Allied Peoples Movement into the APC fold.
Expressing gratitude for these peacebuilding initiatives, Oyo APC Chairman Chief Moses Alake commended Folarin for sheathing his sword and helping strengthen internal cohesion ahead of upcoming electoral contests.
Turning his focus to grassroots strategy, Folarin charged the Local Government Ambassadors for Renewed Hope to intensify door-to-door campaigns that highlight the achievements of the current administration directly to voters.
Furthermore, he announced strategic appointments to key positions within the campaign structure—including Alhaji Fatai Ibikunle as State Deputy Coordinator—to streamline operations and improve resource management across wards and polling units.
Ultimately, Folarin reiterated that the party’s primary objective remains consolidating its grassroots presence and building an election-ready organization capable of delivering total victory in 2027.
