Children’s Day: Oluremi Tinubu urges children to stay focused on learning, growth

First Lady Oluremi Tinubu, has urged Nigerian children to be mindful of the choices they make, stressing that the future they hope for depends on the decisions they take today.

In her message marking the 2026 Children’s Day celebration themed, “Future Now: Promoting Inclusion for Every Nigerian Child,” the First Lady encouraged children to take responsibility for shaping their future through discipline, learning, and positive actions.

She said children, as the leaders of tomorrow, must become active participants in building the present by staying focused, making wise decisions, and using their time productively.

According to her, a brighter future cannot be achieved through destructive or unrealistic pursuits, but through character building, commitment to growth, and purposeful living.

Mrs. Tinubu also extended her heartfelt love and best wishes to children across the country as they celebrate Children’s Day.
