The All Progressives Congress in Ekiti State has intensified preparations for the forthcoming governorship election with the inauguration of its campaign directorates and rollout of mobilisation vehicles across the state.

As a result, the party set a bold target of securing at least 500,000 votes, signalling a strong push to dominate the poll through coordinated grassroots engagement.

According to sources, campaign buses were deployed to all 16 Local Government Areas to boost outreach and strengthen presence at the community level.

Describing the move as a comprehensive approach to ensure electoral victory, the state Publicity Secretary, Segun Dipe, disclosed that the directorates are made up of seasoned party members assigned to critical units, including strategy, media, mobilisation, logistics, finance and legal affairs.

He also revealed that the party appointed campaign coordinators across the 16 councils and 22 LCDAs to drive activities from the grassroots.

Speaking at the inauguration, the Campaign Director-General, Cyril Fasuyi, stated that the mission of the party extends beyond winning the election, adding that the APC aims to secure all 2,445 polling units in the state.

Fasuyi noted that the campaign would highlight the achievements of Governor Biodun Oyebanji while promoting inclusive governance, expressing confidence that the party’s structure and mobilisation strength would deliver victory at the polls.
