Ganduje responds to Galadima’s criticism, defends political relevance

Abdullahi Ganduje, the national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has hit back at Buba Galadima, a prominent member of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), who questioned his political standing.

Ganduje, in a statement released by his senior special assistant on public enlightenment, Oliver Okpara, dismissed Galadima’s criticisms, describing him as a “failed politician with no political base.”

Galadima, who is also a chieftain of the NNPP, recently stated that Ganduje owes his current position to President Bola Tinubu and has no political value of his own. He further criticized Ganduje’s leadership, claiming that the APC chairman had no substantial political achievements.

However, Ganduje defended his record, emphasizing his successful tenure as the Governor of Kano State, where he served two consecutive terms. He pointed out that his contributions to the state are visible in numerous developmental projects scattered across the region.

“The governor is well-known, tested, and trusted. He is a result-oriented technocrat and politician,” Ganduje’s statement read. “His developmental projects are still visible across Kano state, proof of his deep connection with the people.”

Furthermore, Ganduje made a direct comparison with Galadima, questioning the former’s lack of any substantial results. “Where are Galadima’s results?” Ganduje asked, continuing to praise the stability and growth of the APC under his leadership.

The APC leader also addressed the ongoing factional struggles within the NNPP, suggesting that Galadima’s party is struggling with internal divisions that have weakened its position in the political landscape.

In response to Galadima’s recent comments about a plot to destabilize Kano and force the federal government to declare a state of emergency, Ganduje stated that the APC under his leadership remains strong and unified, unlike the embattled NNPP.
