2027 elections: Bauchi gov’s posters reportedly emerge across state

By Kunle Sanni
Campaign posters promoting Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed for the 2027 presidential election have surfaced across key areas of the state capital.
The posters, bearing the slogan “Kaura for President 2027”, were spotted in strategic locations such as roundabouts, electric poles, and signboards along major roads, including Railway Road, Sabon Titin Karofi, and Kofar Dumi Street.
According to a report by Daily Trust, the posters appeared overnight and were being affixed by a group of young men reportedly hired for the job.
One of the individuals involved, Aminu Auwal, told the newspaper that the effort was commissioned by two local politicians identified as Ya’u Ortega and Talolo.
“We were directed to post the governor’s posters along major streets of Bauchi State. We started the work around 1 a.m. today and hope to finish it before the day ends,” Auwal said.
Although the Governor of Bauchi has not officially declared his intention to run in the 2027 presidential election, Mohammed previously contested in the presidential primaries of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
