Makinde receives Belgian ambassador, seeks stronger cooperation

Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has received the new Belgian Ambassador to Nigeria, H.E. Patrick Englebert, and his wife, Mrs. Nkazabwa Nkandali, on a courtesy visit to the state.
Makinde disclosed this in a statement following the visit, saying the meeting provided an opportunity to discuss ways of strengthening the existing relationship between Belgium and the Oyo State Government.
The governor said the discussions focused on diverse areas of international development cooperation between Belgium and Oyo State.
According to Makinde, the areas discussed included agribusiness, education and technology, with a view to exploring opportunities for deeper collaboration.
He expressed his pleasure at receiving the new Belgian ambassador and his wife, noting the importance of strengthening existing relationships with international partners.
