OGFZA boss, Bamanga Jada, bags LEADERSHIP CEO of the Year Award

The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Oil and Gas Free Zones Authority (OGFZA), Bamanga Usman Jada, has been named the LEADERSHIP CEO of the Year 2024 in the Public Sector Category.
At the well-attended Leadership Newspapers Annual Conference and Awards held recently at the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa, Abuja, the OGFZA boss was among high-achieving Nigerians, including Mr Aliko Dangote of Dangote Group, Comptroller General of Nigeria Customs Service Mr Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, and the GMD/CEO of Zenith Bank Dr Adaora Umeoji, honoured for their remarkable contributions to the growth and advancement of the nation’s economy.
The CEO of the Year Award in the Public Sector Category bestowed on Mr Jada highlights his exploits at OGFZA, where he leads a team of committed staff implementing President Bola Tinubu’s critical reforms, driving the repositioning of Nigeria’s oil and gas sector.
Under Mr Jada’s watch, OGFZA has not only strengthened Nigeria’s energy infrastructure and advanced digital governance, but it has also utilised technology to enhance operational transparency, bolster investor confidence, and attract foreign direct investments (FDI) into the country.
Some of the tangible achievements recorded by OGFZA include the establishment of the liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) processing plants in Onne, Rivers State, and the Liberty Oil & Gas Free Zones in Akwa Ibom with a total storage capacity of 70,000 metric tonnes. There is also the CNG conversion and refilling facility in Onne.
From the “Best Federal MDA for Ease of Doing Business Automation Award” by PEBEC to the “Distinguished GovTech Trailblazer’s Award” from the Bureau of Public Service Reforms (BPSR), the LEADERSHIP CEO of the Year 2024 Award celebrates OGFZA and Mr Bamanga Jada’s passion and commitment to facilitating accelerated developments across Nigeria’s oil and gas free zones.
