The Ondo State Government has released the results of the 2026 Common Entrance Examination conducted for pupils seeking admission into public secondary schools across the state.
The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, Dr. Akindele Ige, announced the release on Tuesday, stating that candidates’ results had been uploaded to the ministry’s examination portal.
Ige urged parents and guardians to access the results by logging into the official portal with the registration PIN issued to each candidate during the registration process.
“The results have been successfully uploaded to the ministry’s portal. Parents and guardians are advised to check the performance of their children and wards using their registration PIN,” he said.
Giving a breakdown of the examination, the Director of Examinations Management, Mrs. Titilayo Udoh, disclosed that 67,547 pupils sat for the examination across the 18 local government areas of the state.
Udoh said the analysis showed that 56 per cent of the candidates scored above 50 per cent, while 44 per cent obtained scores below the pass mark.
“The overall performance is encouraging. Out of the 67,547 candidates who participated in the examination, more than half scored above 50 per cent. The highest candidate recorded an impressive 294 out of 300 marks, representing 98 per cent,” she stated.
The state government expressed optimism that the outcome reflected the improving standard of basic education in Ondo, encouraging parents and schools to sustain efforts toward enhancing pupils’ academic performance.
