President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has declined to assent to the bill seeking to establish the Federal University of Education in Numan, Adamawa State.

In a letter addressed to the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Abbas Tajudeen, and read by Deputy Speaker Benjamin Kalu during Tuesday’s plenary, President Tinubu cited inconsistencies in the proposed legislation as the primary reason for withholding his approval.

According to a report by The Nation newspaper, the House of Representatives adjourned its plenary in honor of the late Deputy Chief Whip, Adewunmi Onanuga.
