President Tinubu mourns Zaria Islamic preacher Sheikh Mainasara Habibi

President Bola Tinubu has expressed deep sorrow over the death of prominent Zaria-based Islamic scholar, Sheikh Mainasara Liman Habibi, who passed away over the weekend at the age of 67.
In a condolence message issued on Monday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu described Sheikh Habibi as a dedicated cleric who made significant contributions to Islamic scholarship and the promotion of peaceful coexistence.
The late Sheikh Habibi, who served as the National Chairman of the Preachers’ Committee of Fityanul Islam under the Tijjaniyya Muslim Brotherhood, was praised for his commitment to religious tolerance and unity across different faiths.
President Tinubu extended his condolences to the government and people of Kaduna State, the Zazzau Emirate Council, and the leadership of the Tijjaniyya Brotherhood in Nigeria.
He also offered prayers for the cleric’s soul, asking for Allah’s mercy and forgiveness for the departed scholar.
