Sultan lauds Oluremi Tinubu’s RHI programmes during Sokoto visit

First Lady Oluremi Tinubu, on Saturday paid a courtesy visit to the Sultan of Sokoto, His Eminence Muhammadu Sa’ad Abubakar, where she expressed gratitude for the monarch’s support and guidance to the administration of President Bola Tinubu.
Speaking at the Sultan’s palace in Sokoto, the First Lady said the visit was to appreciate the traditional ruler for his consistent counsel since the Tinubu administration came into office.



Recalling the longstanding relationship between their families, she described the Sultan as a dependable voice of wisdom.
“The Sultan has continued to support and guide this administration since inception. He is always pointing us in the right direction, and I came to thank him for that,” she said.
In his remarks, the Sultan called for continued prayers for Nigeria, saying leaders must constantly seek divine intervention to address the country’s security challenges.
“As leaders, there is a need to keep seeking divine intervention, especially for those who have been perpetrating evil in the land. My prayer is that those people will come to true repentance and live appropriately,” the monarch said.
The Sultan also commended the First Lady’s Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI), describing it as a programme that has positively impacted millions of Nigerians across the country.
“The various interventions of the Renewed Hope Initiative have touched the lives of millions of Nigerians,” he said.
