Tinubu celebrates Pastor Kumuyi at 85
President Bola Tinubu has congratulated renowned cleric and founder of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry, Pastor William Folorunso Kumuyi, on the occasion of his 85th birthday, describing him as a “remarkable servant of God” whose influence has extended far beyond Nigeria.
In a statement issued on Saturday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu praised Bola Ahmed Tinubu for joining millions of admirers in celebrating Pastor Kumuyi’s decades-long ministry marked by “unwavering faith, wisdom, and dedication.”
The President lauded William Folorunso Kumuyi, founder and General Superintendent of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry, noting that his leadership has sustained a thriving Christian movement for more than 50 years.
He also highlighted Kumuyi’s role as convener of the Global Crusade with Kumuyi (GCK), saying the outreach initiative has carried his message across national borders and inspired millions globally.
“Your voice has reached beyond the church walls and national borders, bringing hope and encouragement to millions across the world,” Tinubu said in the message.
The President further commended Kumuyi’s writings and teachings, describing them as a source of guidance and inspiration for people seeking purpose and spiritual direction.
“Your writings have illuminated minds, inspired hearts, and provided timeless guidance to those seeking truth and purpose,” the statement added.
Tinubu also noted the wider social impact of Kumuyi’s ministry, saying it has contributed to the transformation of lives, restoration of families, and strengthening of faith across generations.
