UPDATE: NRC confirms 443 passengers aboard train involved in Agbor accident

The Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) has confirmed that 443 passengers were aboard the train involved in the accident along the Warri–Itakpe Train Service (WITS) corridor at Agbor, Delta State.
The figure was contained in the passenger manifest released by the corporation following the incident, which occurred on Monday.
The NRC had earlier confirmed the accident and said response teams were deployed to the scene, while efforts were ongoing to ascertain the full extent of the incident and attend to affected passengers.
The corporation also disclosed that the Delta State Government, the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), the Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau (NSIB), the Department of State Services (DSS), and the Inspector-General of Police (IGP) had been notified and were coordinating with relevant authorities.
While details regarding casualties or injuries have yet to be officially released, the NRC assured the public that updates would be provided as rescue and assessment efforts continue.
