66th Birthday: Lagos APC celebrates Remi Tinubu’s public service impact
The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has congratulated Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, on her birthday, describing her as an accomplished public servant committed to improving Nigerians’ lives.
In a statement issued on Monday, Lagos APC Chairman Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi said Senator Tinubu’s public service had been defined by resilience, faith and commitment to the people’s welfare.
Ojelabi recalled her tenure as First Lady of Lagos State, 12 years representing Lagos Central in the Senate and her current role as First Lady of Nigeria, saying she had consistently shown that public service was about touching lives and giving hope.
He commended her commitment to women, children, families and vulnerable Nigerians through the Renewed Hope Initiative, which has supported interventions in education, healthcare, social investment and economic empowerment.
According to him, her leadership has placed compassion and human dignity at the centre of public service, while her humanitarian interventions complement the Federal Government’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
The chairman said the celebration held special significance for Lagos APC because Senator Tinubu remained “one of our own,” adding that her service to Lagos and Nigeria formed an important part of the state’s collective political history.
Ojelabi joined President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, members of the National Assembly, the APC family, Nigerians and well-wishers worldwide in celebrating the First Lady, praying for her sound health, wisdom, strength and abundant grace.
He also prayed for continued blessings on her family and many more years of fulfilment and impact, expressing hope that her commitment to women, children, families and vulnerable Nigerians would inspire greater contributions to the country’s peace, progress and prosperity.
