President Bola Tinubu has extended warm congratulations to former Vice President Mohammed Namadi Sambo and Senator Aliyu Wadada Ahmed, celebrating their service and milestones in separate statements.

In his birthday message to Sambo, who turned 71 on Saturday, Tinubu described the former vice president as “a man of integrity and loyalty” committed to Nigeria’s unity and stability. He noted Sambo’s notable roles as Governor of Kaduna State from 2007 to 2010 and as Vice President under President Goodluck Jonathan.

Tinubu also praised Sambo’s leadership in promoting regional peace through ECOWAS. He recalled the former vice president’s role in leading the ECOWAS Observation Mission to Ghana’s 2024 presidential election, as well as similar missions to Niger in 2020 and 2021.

The President lauded Sambo’s advocacy for religious tolerance and peace in Kaduna and wished him many more years in good health and continued service to the nation.

In a separate statement, Tinubu congratulated Senator Wadada on his recent turbaning as Magajin Dangin Lafia by the Emir of Lafia and Chairman of the Nasarawa State Council of Chiefs, Justice Sidi Muhammad Bage.

He described Senator Wadada as a trusted ally and committed public servant, adding that the traditional title reflects his deep community ties and contributions to Nasarawa State and Nigeria.

“My dear Senator Wadada, as Magajin Dangin, you bear a title rich in history, responsibility, and cultural heritage,” Tinubu stated. “I trust you will continue using your influence and experience to promote peace and development in the Lafia Emirate and beyond.”

President Tinubu also commended the Emir of Lafia for preserving traditions that celebrate integrity and leadership within the community.
