‘Solve your challenges through dialogue’ — Igboho advises Nnamdi Kanu

Yoruba nation activist Sunday Igboho has advised detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, to pursue dialogue with the federal government to resolve his ongoing legal and political challenges.
Igboho made the call in a statement issued on Friday, in which he also commended Kanu for cancelling the long-running Monday sit-at-home order across the South-East.
He described the decision as a positive and thoughtful step towards restoring peace and economic stability in the region, noting that the Monday sit-at-home directive had negatively affected social and commercial activities for several years.
According to the statement, Igboho encouraged the IPOB leader to adopt a new approach by engaging in formal discussions and mediation with the Federal Government to break the current deadlock surrounding his case.
He expressed confidence that the administration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu would be open to negotiation, adding that sincere engagement from both sides could lead to a peaceful resolution and improved security in the South-East.
Igboho further warned individuals allegedly benefiting from violence and unrest in the region to desist from such activities, stressing the need for lasting peace to support economic recovery and development.
The activist maintained that while self-determination remains a fundamental right, dialogue and mutual understanding are essential tools for achieving long-term stability and national cohesion.
