Omisore marks 69th birthday, says political future depends on God

By Deborah Oladejo, Osogbo –
The former National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Iyiola Omisore, has said his future depends on God’s plan for his life.
Omisore stated this while marking his 69th birthday at a ceremony attended by his loyalists and supporters of the Osun Rescue Mission at his campaign office in Osogbo.
The former Deputy Governor of Osun State said he regarded every year of his life as a blessing, adding that whatever he would do in the future would be determined by God’s plan for him.
He said, “I give all glory to Almighty God for keeping me alive and allowing me to witness today before the people. My political future depends on God’s plan for me. Whatever He wants me to do, I will do”.
A former member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Israel Famurewa, described Omisore as a formidable leader who had weathered turbulent storms in Osun politics.
He said Omisore had passed through different phases of life and had been guarded and protected by God Almighty, adding that his friends and associates decided to come together to celebrate him.
Famurewa said the gathering was a prelude to a bigger celebration next year when Omisore would turn 70, adding, “So, we are here to thank God on his behalf, and we wish him well”.
