Nigerian comedian and content creator, Cute Abiola, has revealed that he sold one of his cars to ease his financial difficulties, as he appealed to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for assistance amid what he described as challenging times.

The comedian, whose real name is Abdulgafar Ahmad Oluwatoyin, made this known in a video shared on his Instagram page on Friday, repeatedly addressing the president as “my daddy” while expressing his concerns about his current financial situation.

Explaining the decision to sell his vehicle, Cute Abiola said he needed to raise funds to meet his financial obligations, avoid falling into debt and invest in producing more content for his YouTube channel.

He further disclosed that he was grateful for having acquired several cars when his financial situation was better, noting that selling one of them had provided some relief during his present difficulties.

According to the comedian, people who approached him for financial assistance might not understand the reality of his situation, particularly because of the impression created by the number of cars he previously owned.

In an emotional appeal, he pleaded for understanding and compassion, saying, “Ẹ ṣàánú wa, ẹdákun, ẹ jọ̀ọ́,” which translates to “Have mercy on us, please”, while appealing to the president for help.

He also expressed hope that his financial difficulties would not worsen to the extent that he would be forced to sell his houses, adding that he was praying for himself and others going through similar challenges.

The revelation has offered a glimpse into the financial pressures the entertainer says he is facing, despite his public profile and previous displays of material success, as he expressed hope for better days ahead.
