AbdulRazaq mourns demise of KWASU governing council chairman Prof. Ambali

Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has expressed shock and sadness over the death of the chairman of the governing council of Kwara State University (KWASU), Professor AbdulGaniyu Ambali.

In a statement issued on Saturday, the governor described the late academic as a towering scholar, outstanding administrator and respected community leader whose contributions to education and society would be remembered for years.

“Beyond being a towering academic figure, Professor Ambali was a great humanist, a leader with profound impact on the community, and an outstanding administrator,” AbdulRazaq said.

The governor extended his condolences to the management, staff and students of KWASU, as well as the University of Ilorin, where Ambali previously served as vice-chancellor.

He also sympathised with the family, friends and associates of the late academic, describing his death as a significant loss to the state and the country.

AbdulRazaq prayed to Allah to forgive the shortcomings of the deceased, grant him Al-Jannah Firdaus, and give his family the strength to bear the loss.

The late Ambali served as chairman of the governing council of KWASU and was widely recognised for his contributions to higher education and academic administration in Nigeria.
