Afropop star Rybeena announces forthcoming project

Fast-rising Afropop artiste, Adewale Atanda, popularly known as Rybeena, has announced the forthcoming release of Mr Bee Deluxe, following the success of his 2025 project, Mr Bee.

The announcement came shortly after the singer reaffirmed his commitment to his record label, Dapper Music & Entertainment, officially renewing his partnership with the music powerhouse on June 15, 2026, after completing a two-year contract.

The Dapper Music signee, who gained major traction with his viral hit song ID.ME, signed a new deal during a ceremony held at the company’s headquarters in Lagos, marking the continuation of their partnership.

Speaking on the renewed agreement, Chairman of Dapper Group, Damilola Akinwunmi, expressed confidence in the artiste’s trajectory and future prospects.

According to him, “Rybeena has done in two years what takes most artistes far longer, and this new deal is us putting real weight behind where he is headed. We are not in the business of managing names; we are in the business of building careers. With everything lined up to drop this year, the proof is about to speak for itself”.

Reflecting on his experience with the record label, Rybeena expressed appreciation for the support he has received while hinting at what fans should expect in the coming months.

In his words, “People talk about what a label is when things get loud. For me, it’s simple: Dapper backed me, built with me, and I’m staying to finish what we started. This year is proof. The Mr Bee Deluxe is just the opening”.

Mr Bee is an expansion of Rybeena’s artistry, blending soul and highlife influences across seven tracks. The project received acclaim for its mix of contemporary sounds and collaborations with A-list artistes, including Joeboy, Shoday and Fuji music legend, King Dr Saheed Osupa.
