BBN Season 11: Chimsom Chuka emerges first Head of House

By Folashade Olorunfemi –

Following the completion of the show’s opening challenge on Monday, Chimsom Chuka emerged as the first Head of House in the 11th edition of Big Brother Naija, earning immunity from this week’s eviction.

The Anambra-born pharmacist and actor was declared the winner after recording the fastest overall time in the first Head of House challenge.

During the task, the male housemates competed against one another, while the female contestants also held a separate contest before the best performers from both groups were compared to determine the overall winner.

In a similar development, Abi, a chef and model from Osun State who finished second overall, was named Deputy Head of House.

In a twist, the winner will not automatically occupy the luxurious Head of House loft this season, unlike in previous editions of the reality show. Instead, Chimsom was required to pick a housemate through a lucky dip to enjoy the privilege.

After the raffle draw, Chimsom picked Tram, who was immediately granted access to the Head of House loft for the week. Tram subsequently chose Sheba to share the apartment with him.

Although Chimsom will not stay in the Head of House residence, he retains the major benefit of the position—immunity from this week’s eviction—along with other leadership privileges and a special reward from Big Brother.
