BREAKING: Ondo govt approves new monarch for Akungba-Akoko

The Ondo State Government has approved the appointment of Prince Isiaka Oseni as the new Alale of Akungba-Akoko.

The approval was part of decisions reached at the State Executive Council meeting held on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, and presided over by Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa.

Also approved was the appointment of Prince Olusola Joseph Ajaka as the pioneer Gbogunro of Idi-Ogba Alagbon in Ilaje Local Government Area.

Announcing the development, the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Alhaji Amidu Takuro, stated that the appointments followed due process and were based on recommendations from relevant authorities and kingmakers.

“These appointments are the outcome of thorough procedures, reflecting the government’s respect for tradition and the rule of law,” Takuro noted.
