Makinde appoints advisory council members, hospitals board chairman, others

Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has approved new appointments and reassignments across key government institutions, including the Oyo State Advisory Council, Hospitals Management Board, Housing Corporation and Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State (BCOS).
The governor approved the appointment of three new members to the Oyo State Advisory Council, chaired by legal practitioner, Chief Bolaji Ayorinde, SAN. The appointees are Engr. Abu Salami, Hon. Ezekiel Oyedepo and Hon. Lydia Bankole.
In a related development, Hon. Adekunle Oladapo Bankole has been appointed chairman of the Oyo State Hospitals Management Board. The appointments were communicated through letters issued by the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Otunba Segun Ogunwuyi, PhD.
Meanwhile, Mrs. Adeboyin Elizabeth Oladokun, who previously served as a member of the Oyo State Housing Corporation, has been reassigned as senior special assistant to the governor on Diaspora Matters.
Similarly, Abiodun Oluwaseun Friday, formerly senior special assistant on Project Delivery, has been appointed chairman of the Oyo State Project Performance Monitoring Agency.
He replaces Engr. Muftau Open Salawu, who is the deputy governorship candidate of the Allied People’s Movement. The change forms part of the governor’s latest administrative adjustments.
Also, Ajao Ibrahim Akinsanmi, a former member of the Board of the Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State, has been appointed to the Oyo State Housing Corporation.
According to the appointment letters, all the appointments and reassignments take effect from Friday, September 18, 2026. In his remarks, Governor Makinde congratulated the appointees and urged them to discharge their responsibilities with loyalty, commitment and dedication to the service of Oyo State.
