NSCDC parades suspects, warns against criminality
The newly deployed Commandant of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corp, NSCDC in Ebonyi State, Francis Obinna Nnadi, has assured residents of his readiness to partner with all stakeholders to bring about the security of citizens and protection of public and private assets.
Nnadi who paraded a number of suspects in a major security service outing just five days of assumption of duty at the Command’s headquarters in Abakaliki says he will rejig operational strategies in line with the Commandant-General’s agenda of ensuring professionalism in the fight against criminality.
Some of the suspects paraded were alleged to have been involved in rape, possession of large quantities of highly inflammable petroleum products otherwise known as fuel, and merchandise/scrap dealers who specialize in stealing of public and private assets.
Nnadi who assumed office as the 20th Commandant in Ebonyi State Command says he will work closely with sister security agencies to fight criminal activities and ensure security across the 13 Local Government Areas of Ebonyi State.
He hinted that operatives of the Command will soon commence day and night patrols as well as deploy Non-kinetic approach in crime fighting.
