Ogun APC clarifies caucus resolutions, backs Tinubu, Yayi for 2027

The Ogun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has dismissed what it described as misleading narratives circulating on social media regarding the outcome of its recent State Caucus meeting.

In a statement issued in Abeokuta on Tuesday, the party said the reports were fabricated attempts to distort the resolutions reached at the meeting held at its secretariat.

The APC clarified that the caucus unanimously endorsed Senator Olamilekan Solomon, popularly known as Yayi, as its governorship candidate for the 2027 general elections.

It also reaffirmed its earlier endorsement of President Bola Tinubu as the party’s presidential candidate in Ogun State for the same election.

The party pledged its commitment to delivering strong electoral support for the president during the polls.

According to the statement, these decisions represent the only official resolutions reached at the meeting.

The APC warned that any contrary claims being circulated should be regarded as false and misleading.

It urged party members and the public to rely only on information released through its official communication channels.
