Osun decides: INEC uploads 82.46% of election results to IReV

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has uploaded results from 3,103 of the 3,763 polling units in Saturday’s Osun State governorship election to its Result Viewing Portal (IReV).

Checks by our correspondent as of 8:01 p.m. showed that the uploaded results accounted for 82.46 per cent of the total polling units in the election.

INEC commenced the uploading of the results on its portal late Saturday as the collation of results from the 30 local government areas continued.

The election featured 15 political parties, with Governor Ademola Adeleke of the Accord Party, Bola Oyebamiji of the All Progressives Congress (APC), and Najeem Salaam of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) among the candidates who contested the poll.

Results from other polling units were still being processed and uploaded to the portal as the collation and electronic transmission of results continue across the state.
