PHOTO NEWS: Shettima rallies support for Oyebanji’s second term at APC mega rally in Ekiti

Vice President Kashim Shettima on Monday led the All Progressives Congress (APC) Grand Finale Mega Rally in Ado-Ekiti, urging voters to re-elect Governor Biodun Oyebanji and his deputy, Chief Mrs. Monisade Afuye, in Saturday’s governorship election.
Representing President Bola Tinubu at the rally attended by APC governors, party leaders, ministers and National Assembly members, the Vice President described the Oyebanji/Afuye ticket as one of balance, experience and continuity that deserves renewal.


Senator Shettima said Governor Oyebanji’s administration has delivered tangible dividends of democracy through people-centred governance, adding that continuity would guarantee greater peace, progress and development for Ekiti State.
He assured residents that the Federal Government would continue to partner with the state to deepen development, expand economic opportunities, strengthen security and promote shared prosperity.
Also speaking, Senate President Godswill Akpabio and APC National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, commended Governor Oyebanji’s performance in infrastructure, education and healthcare, urging Ekiti voters to support his re-election bid.



In his remarks, Governor Oyebanji thanked President Tinubu and Vice President Shettima for their support to the state and appealed to residents to maintain peace before, during and after the election.
Earlier, the Vice President paid a courtesy visit to the Ewi of Ado-Ekiti, HRH Oba Adeyemo Adejugbe, and later met with members of the Ekiti State Traditional Rulers Council, where he reaffirmed the Federal Government’s commitment to supporting traditional institutions and advancing development in the state.
