Presidency hails progress on federal, state projects in Ebonyi

The Presidency has expressed satisfaction with the progress of federal and state projects in Ebonyi State following a media tour by the Renewed Hope Ambassadors.

The assessment came at the end of a tour by the Presidential Communications Team under the Renewed Hope Ambassadors initiative, which inspected major infrastructure projects across the state.

Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, said the delegation was impressed with the level of progress recorded in key federal and state projects in the state following a media tour by the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, according to a statement signed by Tunde Rahman.

Rahman in his capacity as Director of Media & Publicity, Renewed Hope Ambassadors, highlighted the Trans-Sahara Superhighway project connecting Cross River, Ebonyi, Benue, Nasarawa, and Abuja, describing it as a major federal infrastructure intervention.

The team also commended cooperation between the Federal Government and Ebonyi State in executing development projects across multiple sectors.

During the tour, officials inspected the 22-kilometre Izeagu-Azulu rural road, constructed with concrete pavement to link four communities, as well as the Ebonyi Five-Star Hotel project in Abakaliki, originally conceived as the Ebonyi Trade Centre.

They also visited ongoing works at the Vanco Junction infrastructure corridor, which includes a twin flyover bridge and an underground tunnel.

Onanuga praised the pace of work and state development efforts, saying:

“The governor is doing very well. We have seen a massive improvement in Vanco Junction and the tunnel compared to August last year. The state government is constructing a 4.61-kilometre signature infrastructure corridor with a twin flyover bridge and an underground tunnel. Vanco Junction is taking shape, and what I saw today is a vast improvement over last year.”
