Shettima visits Lafia for project inaugurations, Emir Bage’s 70th birthday

Vice President Kashim Shettima has arrived in Lafia, the capital of Nasarawa State, for a one-day official visit marked by a series of developmental and ceremonial engagements.

During the visit, the Vice President is expected to commission the newly constructed Kilema Bridge, a key infrastructure project undertaken by the Nasarawa State Government to enhance transportation and improve connectivity within Lafia and surrounding communities.

Shettima will also attend activities marking the 70th birthday celebration of the Emir of Lafia, HRH Justice Sidi Mohammed Bage. As part of the festivities, he is scheduled to commission a hall at the Emir’s Palace named in his honour.

In addition, the Vice President will inaugurate Maimatasa Road and Kashim Shettima Road, both located within the Lafia metropolis, before concluding his visit and departing the state.

He was received on arrival by Governor Abdullahi Sule, Deputy Governor Emmanuel Akabe, Senator Ahmed Wadada, and former Nasarawa State Governor Abdullahi Adamu, alongside other government officials and dignitaries.
