Tinubu’s senior aide, Tunde Rahman, casts vote in Iwo, backs Oyebamiji

Tunde Rahman, senior special assistant on media and special duties to President Bola Tinubu, has cast his ballot in his hometown, Iwo, Osun State, as voting commenced in the state governorship election on Saturday.

Rahman arrived at his polling unit early in the day to exercise his civic responsibility and urged other eligible voters to participate in the election.

Speaking with journalists after voting, the presidential aide reaffirmed his support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate, Bola Oyebamiji.

Rahman described Oyebamiji as a competent and experienced candidate with the capacity to provide effective leadership and drive the development of Osun State.

He also commended the peaceful conduct of the election in Iwo and urged security agencies to remain vigilant throughout the voting and collation processes to ensure a free and fair election.

The presidential aide has been involved in mobilising support for the APC candidate across Iwo and neighbouring communities ahead of the election.

Rahman said active participation by voters was essential to determining the future leadership of the state, while encouraging residents to exercise their franchise peacefully and responsibly.
