Tonto Dikeh, ex-husband reconcile after nearly 10 years of public feud

Nollywood actress and philanthropist Tonto Dikeh has announced a reconciliation with her former husband, Olakunle “Churchill” Oladunni, nearly a decade after their highly publicised separation and prolonged legal disputes.

Dikeh disclosed the development in an emotional statement shared on her social media platforms, describing the reconciliation as a “divine restoration” after years of conflict, bitterness and broken communication.

According to the actress, peace has now replaced what she described as chaos and deep emotional wounds that defined their relationship following their split. She attributed the breakthrough to divine intervention, sustained prayers, humility and obedience, stressing that human effort alone could not have resolved the rift.

Dikeh expressed appreciation to Churchill, the father of their son, King Andre Churchill, for embracing peace and what she described as God’s direction. She noted that the renewed relationship is founded on humility, genuine forgiveness and a shared commitment to the wellbeing of their child.

She also used the opportunity to encourage others facing prolonged personal struggles, urging them not to lose hope and to believe that reconciliation and healing are possible.

Tonto Dikeh and Olakunle Churchill were married in 2015 in a high-profile ceremony, but the marriage collapsed less than two years later amid intense media attention, mutual allegations and drawn-out court battles, particularly over custody and welfare issues concerning their son.

The reconciliation comes as a surprise to many followers of the long-running dispute and follows the actress’s renewed emphasis on her Christian faith, which she says played a central role in restoring the fractured relationship.
