VC inaugurates new LASU Catering House, restates commitment to staff comfort

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, has officially inaugurated the newly constructed LASU Catering House, further showcasing her visionary and humane leadership.
Strategically located next to the LASU Staff Club, the modern facility represents a significant departure from the outdated catering building, offering a state-of-the-art space designed to provide high-quality catering services in a comfortable and conducive environment for both staff and students.

The new building features a spacious restaurant, office areas, expansive kitchens, washing zones, and well-equipped toilet facilities, ensuring a top-tier dining experience and operational efficiency.

In her remarks, the Vice-Chancellor shared the motivation behind the project, explaining that it was initiated to replace the old, unconducive, and unbefitting environment that the catering services staff had previously endured.
She emphasised that her commitment to improving the comfort of the staff and enhancing the overall service delivery at the Centre was a driving force behind the development of the facility.
Accompanied by members of the university’s management team and other key officials, the Vice-Chancellor conducted the formal inauguration and inspection of the new facility.
The LASU Catering House adds to the growing list of infrastructure projects completed under the Vice-Chancellor’s leadership, standing as a testament to her unwavering commitment to enhancing the quality of services and facilities available to the entire university community.
