VIDEO: Jubilation in Osun as Adeleke wins second term

Jubilation has erupted across Osun State as supporters of Governor Ademola Adeleke celebrate his victory in the 2026 governorship election.

The celebrations spread across Osogbo, the state capital, Ede, the governor’s hometown, and other parts of the state following his declaration as the winner of the election.

Supporters were seen dancing, cheering and waving in celebration as news of Adeleke’s victory spread across the state.

Residents expressed their happiness over the victory, with some kneeling on the ground to thank God for the outcome of the election, while others continued dancing and celebrating the governor’s victory.

Western Post reports that Adeleke polled 511,067 votes across the 30 local government areas, while the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, scored 444,815 votes. The African Democratic Congress (ADC) candidate, Dr Najeem Salaam, recorded 17,180 votes.
