50-year-old Ondo motorcyclist dies after ramming into parked trailer

A 50-year-old motorcyclist, popularly known as Fatai Omo Alhaji Ijesha, has died after his motorcycle reportedly crashed into a parked trailer in Ikare-Akoko, Ondo State.
The fatal accident occurred on Sunday evening in the Isha Kumi area of the town, where the victim was said to have been travelling to the Semusemu area for a social outing.
Residents said the deceased had left his home shortly before the incident, which was described as a lone crash involving only his motorcycle.
An eyewitness said the rider rammed into a stationary trailer parked by the roadside, leaving him with severe injuries.
According to the witness, the victim died at the scene before help could reach him. His body was later evacuated and deposited at a hospital mortuary.
The incident threw residents of the area into mourning, with many describing the deceased as a familiar figure in the community.
Efforts to obtain official confirmation from the Ondo State Police Command and the Federal Road Safety Corps were unsuccessful as of press time.
