The Nigerian Army has intensified its efforts against the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and the Eastern Security Network (ESN) following the capture of their stronghold at Mother Valley.

In a recent development, troops of the Joint Task Force Operation UDO KA cleared the general area of Udda, Ihittukwa, and Orsumoghu in Orsu Local Government Area of Imo State.

According to official sources, the operation, based on reliable intelligence, took place on May 6, 2024. The troops encountered resistance from the terrorists, who used Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) in an attempt to halt their advance.

Among the casualties was TOCHUKWU, also known as OJOTO, a commander of the IPOB/ESN faction in charge of the Ihietukwa Command.

The raid also led to the recovery of various weapons and materials, including firearms, radios, explosives, and charms.
