Ifeoma Okoye breaks silence over P-Square family dispute

Wife of music executive Jude Okoye, Ifeoma Okoye, has broken her silence following fresh allegations made by singer Peter Okoye, popularly known as Mr P, declaring that she has no intention of defending herself publicly despite being drawn into the ongoing family dispute.

Ifeoma made the remarks in a statement shared on her official Instagram page on Monday, hours after Peter released another episode of his video series detailing his long-running disagreement with his elder brother over the affairs and assets of the former P-Square group.

In the latest episode, Mr P alleged that Jude attempted to transfer his ownership rights in one of P-Square’s properties to Ifeoma, a move he claimed he rejected after discovering documents bearing her name.

Reacting to the development, Ifeoma said she had become aware of stories that had been “twisted and manipulated” to involve her in disputes she neither created nor desired.

“There comes a time when silence is no longer about fear, but about entrusting the truth to God,” she wrote, adding that she would not respond by trading accusations or fuelling public conflict.

She said, as a Christian, she believed God knew every conversation, intention and every truth hidden from human eyes, describing Him as the ultimate judge.

Referring to the biblical story of Ananias and Sapphira, Ifeoma said no one could deceive God, who would expose every falsehood and uphold the truth in His own time.

She added that she had no desire to defend herself before those committed to misunderstanding her, expressing confidence that the truth would prevail without manipulation. She also prayed for mercy, healing, peace, humility and restoration, rather than judgment, saying she trusted God to vindicate what is right.
