Olakunle Churchill clears air on alleged split with actress Rosy Meurer

By Folashade Olorunfemi –

Nigerian businessman Olakunle Churchill has dismissed divorce claims circulating online concerning his marriage to actress Rosy Meurer, describing the reports as false and misleading.

The businessman made this known in a lengthy Instagram post on Wednesday, accompanied by documents suggesting that Meurer had petitioned to end their relationship. He, however, insisted there was no legal marriage between them, stating that what took place was only an introduction.

“The reports circulating online about a supposed divorce between myself and Roseline Meurer are completely false. There is no truth to them, and they should be treated as such,” he said.

“There was no church wedding and no court wedding. What took place was an introduction. Therefore, the idea of a ‘divorce’ is baseless from the outset,” he added.

Churchill also maintained that he was not formally served any legal documents, questioning the legitimacy of the alleged process and whether such timelines were feasible under Nigerian law.

“Any legitimate legal process requires that all parties be formally served and given the opportunity to respond. I was never served,” he said, while criticising those he accused of spreading misleading information.

The clarification comes amid speculation linking him back to his ex-wife, actress Tonto Dikeh, following their reconciliation and co-parenting arrangement, which he said has resolved past differences.
