President Tinubu celebrates Oba Rashidi Ladoja on his 80th birthday

President Bola Tinubu has extended warm birthday wishes to Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja on the occasion of his 80th birthday, celebrated today, September 25, 2024.
Oba Ladoja, a respected businessman and former Governor of Oyo State (2003–2007), also served as a Senator during Nigeria’s Third Republic.
Recently, Oba Rashidi was elevated to the status of a beaded-crown-wearing Oba, a significant honor bestowed upon him by the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin, on August 12, 2024. This elevation recognizes his longstanding contributions to the people of Ibadanland.
In a statement by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President (Information and Strategy), on Wednesday, President Tinubu joined the people of Ibadan, family, and friends in celebrating the elder statesman’s milestone.
According to the statement, he commended Oba Ladoja for his steadfastness, courage in the pursuit of justice, and dedication to promoting lofty ideals.
Reflecting on their shared time as colleagues during the Third Republic, President Tinubu expressed gratitude for Oba Ladoja’s friendship and support over the years.
He also praised his contributions to the nation, noting his significant role in Nigeria’s development.
President Tinubu offered prayers for continued wisdom, good health, and strength in Oba Ladoja’s journey ahead.
