Psquare’s Mr P changes birthday, picks November 30
By Folashade Olorunfemi –
Afropop musician Peter Okoye, fondly called Mr P, of the defunct P-Square duo, has announced a new birthday ahead of his 2026 birthday celebration.
The musician, who originally shared the same birthday with his twin, Paul Okoye, fondly called Rudeboy, took to his Instagram page on Monday evening to disclose that his new birthday will be celebrated on November 30 henceforth.
Addressing family, friends and fans, Peter, whose feud with his brother has been public for years, also noted that he would not accept gifts or messages on November 18, which was his former birthday. He solicited public understanding, emphasising that it was a personal decision.
It is unclear what led to his decision. However, Mr P has been vocal about unsettled issues within the family, particularly with his siblings.
Peter, alongside his twin Paul, dominated the Afropop genre in the 2000s but fell out, reunited in 2023, and eventually parted ways again.
Peter, who has since gone solo alongside his twin brother, is also exploring an acting career in the Nollywood industry.
