‘Sacrifices not in vain’ — Tinubu Speaks on reform gains at 74

President Bola Tinubu says his administration’s economic reforms are beginning to yield results, expressing optimism that Nigeria is on the path to recovery despite global challenges, including the ongoing crisis in the Middle East.

The President in a message to Nigerians marking his 74th birthday on Sunday, thanked citizens for their support while reflecting on the progress and challenges of his administration.

Tinubu said the sacrifices made by Nigerians as a result of ongoing reforms are beginning to show positive signs.

“As I mark this special day, I am reminded of the challenges we’ve faced since we initiated our reforms. I’m glad that our sacrifices have not been in vain as we can see some glittering light at the end of the tunnel, despite the temporary setback caused by ongoing Middle East crisis,” he said.

The President noted that the gains recorded by his administration were made possible through the collective efforts of Nigerians, rather than the government alone.

“The credit for the positive outcomes we have achieved does not belong solely to me, our Renewed Hope team and to our government. We achieved the gains together,” he said.

Tinubu also used the occasion to thank Nigerians for the goodwill messages and prayers he received on his birthday, describing the support as encouraging.

He specifically appreciated First Lady Oluremi Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima for their tributes and support.
