Tinubu celebrates Bago on birthday, praises development strides in Niger State

President Bola Tinubu has congratulated Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago, his birthday, praising his leadership and commitment to the development of the state.

In a statement issued on Monday by his spokesperson, Bayo Onanuga, the President commended Governor Bago for what he described as courage, diligence and dedication to public service.

Tinubu noted that the governor’s administration has made significant strides in key sectors, including health, education, infrastructure and agriculture.

The President particularly highlighted the governor’s agricultural drive, which has earned him the nickname “farmer governor,” saying the initiatives have positioned Niger State as a major player in the sector.

According to the statement, Tinubu said Governor Bago’s background in banking and his previous service as a member of the House of Representatives have equipped him with the experience needed to reposition the state and tackle poverty.

Tinubu also extended his goodwill to the governor’s family, friends and political associates, describing the birthday as an opportunity for reflection and renewed commitment to serving the people.
