Hannah Ayorinde secures N5m top prize at Eko Flavours Season 3

A female culinary talent, Hannah Ayorinde, has triumphed over more than 100 contestants to win the coveted five million naira grand prize at the Season 3 finale of Eko Flavours in Lekki, Lagos.

While Jagila Colman claimed the first runner-up spot with a three million naira reward, Moyin Fashina secured the second runner-up position, taking home two million naira at the Saturday night event.

Organised by the Lagos State Ministry of Agriculture and Food Systems in partnership with Culinara Group, the culinary competition aims to discover culinary talent and connect them directly to broader food industry opportunities.

Highlighting the economic scope of the initiative, the Lagos State Commissioner for Agriculture and Food Systems, Abisola Olusanya, emphasized that agriculture encompasses business, job creation, tourism, and the creative economy.

In addition, Olusanya urged young Nigerians to look beyond traditional career paths like medicine and law, pointing out that the culinary arts offer immense potential for entrepreneurship and wealth creation.

Meanwhile, Jennifer Odufuwa, Co-CEO of Culinara Group, noted that this season’s theme, “Nothing Wasted,” reflects their commitment to ensuring that talent, culture, and business ideas are fully realized.

Building on that vision, Co-CEO Olufunke Adu announced that the top 25 finalists will receive ongoing training, business support, culinary school scholarships, and international exposure through strategic partnerships.

Following her emotional victory, Ayorinde expressed her immense gratitude and encouraged future aspiring chefs to pursue their passion with unwavering dedication, hard work, and commitment.
