APC congratulates Oyebanji on historic re-election victory in Ekiti

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has congratulated Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji on his re-election as Governor of Ekiti State, describing the victory as a landmark achievement in the state’s democratic history.

In a statement issued by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka on Sunday, the APC said Oyebanji’s victory makes him the first incumbent governor to secure re-election in the state’s contemporary democratic era.

The ruling party attributed the outcome to the confidence reposed in the governor by the people of Ekiti, citing his leadership style, development-focused policies, and commitment to improving the welfare of residents.

The APC also commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), security agencies, and other stakeholders for their roles in ensuring a peaceful and credible electoral process.

According to the party, the conduct of voters throughout the election demonstrated their commitment to democracy and support for the APC’s progressive agenda.

The party expressed appreciation to Ekiti residents for their participation and support, while expressing confidence that Oyebanji’s second term would accelerate development initiatives and improve living standards across the state.

The APC further stated that the governor’s renewed mandate would strengthen the implementation of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda in Ekiti State.

Governor Oyebanji was declared winner following the conclusion of the governorship election, securing a fresh mandate to lead the state for another four years.
