Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, has ordered the immediate arrest of all persons allegedly involved in the killing of Olalekan Oyeyemi, popularly known as ‘Emir’, over a reported tussle for the leadership of motor parks in the state.

Adeleke, in a statement issued by his spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, on Sunday, directed the Osun State Commissioner of Police, Ibrahim Zungura, to ensure that all those linked to the killing are apprehended and brought to justice.

He said, “Law and order must be maintained. There will be no sacred cows, as all culprits will be brought to book”.

The governor also ordered warring groups to immediately vacate motor parks across the state and directed the establishment of a Park Management System with immediate effect.

Adeleke called on residents to remain calm while directing security agencies to restore normalcy across the motor parks and ensure the maintenance of law and order across the state.

The governor said he would soon issue an executive order for the establishment of a Park Management System to restore discipline and orderliness across motor parks in the state.

He assured residents that the government would work to restore peace in affected parks and areas, adding that security agencies had been directed to ensure the sustainability of peace.

“We are reintroducing the Park Management System. I will soon issue an executive order to give effect to the new management system to manage parks and garages across the state,” he said.
