Two aides to Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, have resigned their appointments.

One of the appointees, Pastor Taiwo Ilesanmi Gbamila, who served as Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Multimedia, tendered his resignation in a letter dated February 16, 2026.

In the letter addressed to the governor, Gbamila appreciated the opportunity to serve in the administration and formally announced his decision to step down from office.

Western Post reports that the correspondence was acknowledged at the Governor’s Office.

Gbamila’s resignation letter, which was brief, expressed gratitude to the governor for the privilege of contributing to governance during his time in office.

Similarly, another aide, Olugbenga Abire, also exited the administration and publicly disclosed his decision through a Facebook post ahead of the official announcement.

Abire revealed that he personally informed Governor Aiyedatiwa of his decision on Sunday, February 15, 2026, adding that the governor prayed for him and endorsed his plan to move on to new opportunities.

According to him, their brief meeting lasted about six minutes, during which the governor wished him success in his next assignment and encouraged his career progression. He disclosed that his resignation was made public early to prevent speculation, dismissing insinuations about his exit and maintaining that his decision was voluntary.
