Shettima hails Tinubu at 74, praises economic reforms, leadership

Vice President Kashim Shettima has congratulated President Bola Tinubu on his 74th birthday, commending his leadership style and ongoing economic reforms under the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

In a statement on Sunday marking the President’s birthday, Shettima described Tinubu as a courageous and visionary leader whose policies are aimed at placing Nigeria on the path of sustainable economic growth and national development.

The Vice President highlighted what he described as key economic achievements recorded within the past year, including improvements in GDP growth, easing inflation trends, and increased foreign direct investment.

He also noted the administration’s strong emphasis on infrastructure development, which he said would support long-term economic prosperity.

According to Shettima, Tinubu’s leadership is defined by his willingness to take difficult but necessary decisions in the interest of Nigeria’s future, noting that history would remember his preference for reforms over what he termed “the comfort of populism.”

He further described his experience working with the President as a lesson in decisive governance, praising Tinubu’s balance of empathy and firmness as well as vision and pragmatism.
