Celebrity fashion designer Veekee James marks 31st birthday with baby’s photos

Celebrity fashion designer Veekee James Atere has marked her 31st birthday by sharing photos of herself and her daughter, Eliana, on Tuesday.
The fashion icon took to her Instagram page to reflect on motherhood while celebrating her new age. She noted that the biggest gift she received this year was not the age itself but the title of motherhood.
Unveiling her daughter’s face for the first time since her birth, Veekee penned an emotional message to commemorate the milestone, noting that this birthday feels different because “her heart now beats outside her body.”
She explained that previous birthday celebrations had always been about her, but that this year’s celebration serves as a reminder of her journey into motherhood and the child who changed her life forever.
Reflecting on her experiences, she expressed gratitude to God for the lessons learned, the sacrifices made, the joy, and every moment motherhood has ushered into her life. She described motherhood as the title she is most proud of and a blessing she deeply cherishes.
Born Ruth Erikan James, Veekee James is a Nigerian fashion designer, gospel singer and entrepreneur who founded the Veekee James fashion brand. She is also the convener of Zion Worship, a monthly gospel concert.
She was named Best Designer of the Year at the 9th Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) in 2023.
