PHOTO NEWS: VP Shettima attends wedding fatiha of Gov Zulum’s children in Maiduguri
Vice President Kashim Shettima on Saturday led a delegation of political leaders and dignitaries to the wedding fatiha of three children and a cousin of Borno State Governor, Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum, in Maiduguri, Borno State.
The Vice President attended the ceremony alongside APC National Chairman, Nentawe Yilwatda, governors, lawmakers, ministers, former governors, and other top political figures.
Senator Shettima served as Waliyi for Aisha Babagana Zulum, who was given in marriage to Mohammed Idi Barde, son of the Deputy Governor of Yobe State.
Also joined in marriage were Umar Babagana Zulum and Fatima Azzaki Jidda; Mamman Babagana Zulum and Yagana Mustapha Busuguma; as well as Abba Abubakar Umara and Aisha Ibrahim Musa.
Vice President Shettima prayed for the couples and advised them to uphold mutual respect, patience, and understanding in their homes.
Among dignitaries present were former Vice President Babagana Kingibe, Speaker of the House of Representatives Tajudeen Abbas, Deputy Senate President Jibrin Barau, governors from Kaduna, Gombe, Zamfara, Kebbi, Kano, Nasarawa, Sokoto, and Katsina States, as well as members of the Federal Executive Council and other political leaders.
