Sources revealed that the suspects were apprehended during a targeted operation carried out by the Command’s Monitoring Unit following credible intelligence.

The suspects were reportedly hiding in a hotel located in the 7UP Academy area of Ibadan, prompting a swift response from security operatives.

Acting on the tip-off, officers executed a coordinated sting operation at the location, leading to the arrest of Kelvin Daniel (21), Idris Ramon (25), Christopher Solomon (35), Mohamed Telim (21), Taored Aderibigbe (30), and Adekunle Tolani (27).

Items recovered from the suspects include 18 mobile phones, one ATM card, a National Identification Number (NIN) card, and a tricycle with registration number OYO SHK 508 QP, believed to have been used in carrying out the alleged crimes.

Preliminary investigations further indicated that the suspects have confessed to being members of a syndicate responsible for a series of robberies across Ibadan.

The police command equally added that investigations are ongoing, and the suspects will be charged to court upon completion of the inquiry.
